Pastor Nathan was raised in Ball Ground, Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Georgia and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. An ordained elder in the North Georgia Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church, Nathan has served in pastoral ministry since 2020.
He currently serves as Associate Pastor at Milledgeville First Methodist Church, where he oversees the church’s administrative operations, leads congregational care, and serves on the preaching team.
In addition to his pastoral work, Nathan has served in the Georgia Army National Guard since 2013. He began his military career as an enlisted infantryman and commissioned as an infantry officer in 2017. He currently serves as an Army Chaplain for an infantry battalion, where God continues to use his military service to extend the ministry of the church to the citizen-soldiers of Georgia’s Army National Guard.
Nathan is married to Sarah Ballew. Together they have two children, Wesley and Phoebe. As a family, they enjoy living an active lifestyle—frequently exercising, hiking, and spending time outdoors, delighting in God’s creation. In the fall, you will also find them cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
